Best Bar in London 2010
This is quite simply the most incredible tapas and sherry bar in England, and that’s official!
Cosy, local Andalusian enclave. Warm, low-level spotlights and candles, abundant shelves of sherry bottles, this is a hugely attractive setting.
Bar Pepito is a vibrant taste of Spain that brings sunshine to a cloudy London. The traditional Andalusian bodega is perfect for after-work drinks. The specialised sherry bar is at the forefront of the sherry revolution, with an extensive variety of speciality Jerez sherries with a modern twist and a delicious tapas menu that will leave you wanting more.
Across the courtyard from its larger sibling Camino, this boxy bodega with friendly staff is so persuasively styled, you’d swear you’d landed in Cádiz not King’s Cross. Jerez’s finest come in flights of three and as part of a ‘road trip’ – a six-dish tapas menu with suitable pairings.
Bar Pepito is tucked away behind the Spanish restaurant Camino at Kings Cross. Just like the little sherry bars that can be found in Jerez and Cadiz. It is FAB!
Bars don’t get much smaller than Pepito – the intimacy suits the experience, sherry and tapas Andalusian style. The sherry list covers all the bases and tapas are flawlessly executed.
